Glenfiddich 14 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Today I sat in on a video call to toast a friend and former co-worker who is leaving my old company. I wanted something with a pleasant taste in order to minimize the chances of making a weird face if I happened to be on camera during mid-sip. I reached for my bottle of Glenfiddich 14 Year Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bourbon Barrel Reserve. The good thing is, it’s really easy to drink. The bad thing is, it’s Wednesday afternoon and it’s really easy to drink.
What's it cost? Between $40 and $50 USD
How's it smell? I’ve seen reviews mentioning “butter toffee” and “s’mores”. I think I can get a little of that. It definitely has a sweet and comforting scent.
How's it taste? It’s really nice. Kind of sweet but with a warm, spicy finish. It’s probably more of an autumn sort of drink, but I’m having it in May.
Do I like it? Yes I do.
Perfect musical pairing? Today I reviewed LTE3 from Liquid Tension Experiment. I think that’s a really nice pairing. Put that on in your headphones, turn the lights down, and let those progressive, virtuosic, jazz-infused hard rock melodies wash over you while you savor some really nice, reasonably priced scotch.
