Devils River Bourbon Whiskey (Texas)
Let's celebrate the music of that little ol' band from Texas, ZZ Top, and say thanks to Dusty Hill upon the sad news of his passing this past week, with a little whiskey from Texas, Devils River Bourbon Whiskey. I picked this bottle up at a local liquor store for $24 and enjoyed it while listening to ZZ Top's 1976 record, Tejas. You can read about that here.
The distiller claims the bourbon's taste to be "slightly peppery with ripe fruit, vanilla, and nutmeg." Maybe. All I know is that it's possibly the first Texas whiskey I've had (unless I'm forgetting something obvious). I liked it.
Cheers to Dusty Hill! Thanks for all the great music.
